Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Skudent, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the school you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Skudent is an online school management platform covering school setup, people records, academics, attendance, fees, communication, AI-assisted tools and reporting. Features available depend on your school's plan.
3. Accounts and Access
The school owner is responsible for the accounts created in the school's workspace, for assigning roles, and for keeping login details confidential. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access.
4. Subscription and Billing
Plans are priced per student, per academic term. A school may pay term by term or pay three terms upfront at a discount. Usage-based services such as SMS and AI are paid from the school's prepaid wallet.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Upgrades and downgrades take effect from the start of the next term.
5. Data Ownership
Your school owns all data it enters into Skudent. Skudent acts as a data processor, handling that data only to provide the service and as the school instructs.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use Skudent to break the law, send spam or unlawful messages, upload harmful code, attempt to access another school's data, or interfere with the service's operation.
7. Termination
You may stop using Skudent at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms or non-payment. On termination you may request an export of your school's data.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Skudent is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to the fees your school paid in the term in which the claim arose.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify school owners of material changes before they take effect; continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
