1. Information We Collect
Schools enter student records (names, classes, attendance, results), staff records, parent and guardian contact details, and fee and payment records. We also collect account details for the people who sign in and basic usage logs.
2. How We Use Information
We use information only to provide, secure and improve Skudent for your school. We never sell personal information to third parties or use it for advertising.
3. Data Isolation
Each school's data is kept in its own isolated workspace. This separation is enforced both in the application and at the database level, so one school can never see another school's records.
4. Children's Data
The school is the data controller for its students' information. Skudent processes children's data only as instructed by the school and only to deliver the service.
5. Payment Information
Online payments are processed by Paystack. Skudent never sees or stores full card details; we keep only payment references, amounts and status.
6. Data Security
We use encrypted connections, role-based access controls, per-school isolation and audit logging to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data.
7. Data Retention
We keep school data for as long as the school's account is active. A school may request an export or deletion of its data at any time, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
8. Your Rights
Individuals may ask to access, correct or delete their personal information. Because schools control their records, we will usually pass such requests to the relevant school and support it in responding.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will notify school owners of material changes.
